How KGE got started:
Coaches Art and Niki just completed their third and final year as the head coaches for Clark Moores Middle School Track & Field team. Over the last few years, we’ve been burdened that there was not an elementary focused track and field club or team for the younger kids in our city. Ideas began to form, we talked with each other and trusted others, we prayed a lot and felt the call to start a youth track and field club specifically focused on elementary aged kids in Richmond, Ky. A lot of work has been put in this past year to get all the things in motion needed to start this club. It’s amazing how we’ve been connected with people, seen doors open and things have come together.
Kentucky Golden Eagles Youth Track & Field Club is where passion and purpose meet for us. We are passionate about track and field and youth development, and we feel it is part of our purpose to be a part of this work. We are beyond thrilled and excited to launch and see what the future holds for KGE! We appreciate all the prayers, love, support and “shares” as we step out and move forward for the youth in our community.
